HUTCH ROPEWAY, an ISO 9001 certified company is into the business of safe alternative aerial transport.HUTCH ROPEWAY was promoted in the year 2005 by a visionary, Mr. Kausik Mandal, as the Technical Counterpart of erstwhile Indian Ropeway Engineering Company, which achieved the distinction of constructing the first fully indigenous Aerial Ropeway in India.

Mid-eighties onward, the company became deeply involved in design, construction and installation of Passenger Ropeways and some of them are even being operated on Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT) basis. Indian Ropeway the predecessor of HUTCH ROPEWAY had built the first indigenous Bi-cable ropeway in India in 1973. The company also completed an assignment of design and engineering for a challenging overseas project, on mountain top complex, having a Ropeway terminal station, hotel and revolving restaurant in Alaska, USA. It has also installed ropeways in Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan. HUTCH ROPEWAY has built the highest ropeway at approx.. 13000 feet at Tsomgo, Sikkim.

HUTCH ROPEWAY till date have successfully executed over 100 projects in India & Abroad, having Clients in Public as well as Private Sectors. It has large market share in the industry having built highest number of passenger ropeways in India.

HUTCH ROPEWAY has installed and commissioned Coal Handling Plant, Sand Winning Plant & Ore Crushing & Screening Plant. The Modular Coal Washing Plants installed, based on a unique British Process Technology, have been proved to be more responsive to reduce high ash content in Indian coal.

In 2002, HUTCH ROPEWAY management took control over Breco Ropeways Limited, London, UK, who had the distinction of being the world pioneer in the field of Aerial Ropeways having executed more than 1000 installations.

HUTCH ROPEWAY has taken up development of the world’s first non-linear ropeway for a 2nd tier alternative urban commutation, CURVO. The system is completely emission free and also is ecofriendly.
